Creative art classes and workshops for children aged 6-11 at the Starty Arty Studio in Langton Green.
Led by Lou, a qualified art teacher with over 20 years' experience, including 16 years as Head of Art.
I believe everyone is creative, and that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity, build confidence and discover the joy of making.
Children explore a wonderful variety of art and craft techniques, including drawing, painting, clay, printmaking, textiles, mixed media and much more. Along the way, they're encouraged to develop new skills, express their own ideas and enjoy the creative process in a warm, friendly and supportive environment.
Starty Arty is a place where children are encouraged to be curious, creative and confident, discovering not only new artistic skills but also the joy of expressing themselves through art.

I'm Lou, and I believe every child is creative.
Through Starty Arty, I want to give children the time, space and encouragement to explore their creativity, develop new skills and discover the joy of making.
With over 20 years' experience teaching art, including 16 years as a Head of Art, I've seen first-hand that children don't all express their creativity in the same way.
Some love drawing.
Some want to paint.
Some would rather get their hands into clay.
Others want to experiment, invent, build, stitch or simply see where an idea takes them.
There isn't one right way to be creative.
That's why Starty Arty offers a warm, friendly and supportive environment where children can experiment, develop their own ideas and feel proud of what they create.
Every week brings something different.
From drawing and painting to clay, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, collage and mixed media, children have the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic techniques and materials.
They'll learn new skills, discover artists and ideas, experiment with different approaches — and, most importantly, have the freedom to make their own creative choices.

Term Time Classes
Art Classes
Our Art classes run during term time, with a maximum of 8 children per session (ages 6-11). This small group size ensures a focused, personalized approach, allowing each child to thrive. Designed to nurture creativity, our classes help children develop at their own pace and according to their unique abilities. We offer classes for home educated children and after school, we also have Saturday classes. Visit our bookings page to reserve your spot.
Sketch & Create
A relaxed, child-led creative session where children have more freedom to decide what they want to make and explore. They might sketch, paint, build, collage, experiment with materials or develop an idea they've brought from home. Lou is there to guide and encourage — but the creative direction belongs to them.
Workshops
At Starty Arty, we offer a range of exciting holiday workshops designed to inspire creativity and hands-on making. Previous sessions have included clay, textiles, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects, giving children the chance to explore a variety of materials and techniques in a fun and engaging way.
New workshops are released throughout the year—please keep an eye on the website for upcoming dates. You can also sign up to the newsletter or follow along on Instagram to be the first to hear when new sessions are announced.
